4 Days Bike & Bed
Bike & Bed is conceived as a short and interesting weekend bike tour. We’ve put together cycling, gastronomy, sightseeing in one. Accommodation is in the small charming old town of Kastav in a private apartment or hotel (depending on your choice). The tour is available every Friday from July to August.

Please note that a helmet is required for the tours to match all safety standards and regulations. If you do not have your own, let us know and we will provide it for you for free.
Cycling, gastronomy, sightseeing in one
Day 1 Friday, Old Town of Kastav
Individual arrival in the city of Kastav, by own car, by train to Rijeka or by plane to the Rijeka airport.
Check-ins are from 1pm to 4pm in the boutique hotel Kukuriku or one of our apartments located in the center of Kastav.
After settling down and introducing hosts, the local tourist guide will show you the Old Town of Kastav, full of rich history and magical legends.
After that you can take a walk along the wonderful promenade “Lužina” or you can enjoy a cup of coffee or a good homemade wine in one of the local bars in the center of the Old Town.
Dinner is at the local restaurant.
Day 2 Saturday, Bike Tour Fužine – Rijeka (approximately 35 km, asphalt road, medium hard)
After breakfast we start with our mini bus to Fužine (about 45 min drive). Fužine is a well-known tourist resort located on three attractive lakes. Fužine is known not only for its attractive landscapes but also for its preserved natural and animal world.
When we arrive in Fužine, first we are going to visit the interesting cave “Vrelo”. Inside the cave is about 8 degrees Celsius, so do not forget to take suitable clothes. Our visit to the cave will take about 20 minutes.
Than we will start our first bicycle tour that goes from place of Fužine and leads us along the path around the Bajer Lake and through the woods and various villages we descend on the asphalt road towards the sea, towards the Kvarner Bay where our transport will be waiting for us. On our way back, the plan is stop at the local famous winery and try the autochthonous wine and other delicacies from this area. Afterwards, return to Kastav and staying one more night in apartment or hotel.
3 Day Sunday, Istria bike tour (approximately 45 km, asphalt and gravel road, medium hard)
After breakfast we drive our way to Istria, in the place of Buje (about 1h and 15 minutes by bus) from where we go to our other bicycle tour. From Buje we cycle through Istrian villages to the small old town of Grožnjan. The town of Grožnjan is also know as the city of artists. In Grožnjan we make coffee break and a short walk through the small charming streets that in the summer use as the stage for the artist’s exhibition.
From Grožnjan we continue the bike tour through the Istrian villages, through the vineyards and beautiful landscape views all along the river Mirna to the west coastline of Istria, to the town of Novigrad. In Novigrad we have enough time for individual lunch break and swimming break on most beautiful pebble beaches. Afterwards, return by bus to Kastav and staying one more night in apartment or hotel.
4 Day Monday
After breakfast check-out until 10 am and individual trip home or extended stay in Croatia.

The boutique hotel Kukuriku offers a choice between 15 differently designed accommodation units divided in 3 categories: suite, superior room and standard room. Each room will welcome you with a different mood and atmosphere, with a highlighted selection of colors, design furniture and lighting.
Apartment Tijan – Kastav
The apartment has two bedrooms, a total of 3 beds and a living room with a sofa bed for two persons. In addition, there is also a fully equipped kitchen. On the terrace is the exit from the room and from the living room. From the staircase we descend to a large terrace with garden and jacuzzi for 4 people.
